Aviation “influencers” are one of the most insufferable types of influencer. They take something that should be cool, inspiring, beautiful, whatever, and turn it to chum like everything else influencers touch.

Makes sense.

A couple questions:

“We’ve reached that point folks.” We have indeed. It’s a good time to find another country to jump ship to.

With the current overlanding/dune running trend, I’m surprised Porsche hasn’t dropped a factory Cayenne/Macan offroad edition.

I’m hoping for a Brawn GP redux: some midfield team nails the new regs, gets into an early points lead, and barely hangs on through the season finale as the field catches up. I’d love to see Fernando or Danny win the WDC this way.

You’re correct. The racing and F1 overall is as good as its ever been. The broadcasts and social media fluff are on point. Sports fan, and F1 fans in particular, just like to complain.

Someone needs to assemble a Rossi, Raikkonen, +1 team for Le Mans. I’d certainly buy merch.

The best racing shows/movies (Rush, FvF, Drive to Survive) mostly use racing to resolve tension built up during the non-racing scenes. The worst racing shows/movies (Driven, Days of Thunder, Le Mans) lean on the racing to mask a lack of plot. Interestingly, racing fans and non-racing prefer the former.

F1 isn’t a sport. It’s business created by Bernie Ecclestone.

She knows. It’s called clickbait. And it worked!

“That leaves Aston.” What are you on about? It was clearly Williams. Vettel and Stroll have long-term deals.

It was Williams. Why does this article suggest it was Aston? They Vettel is on a multi-year deal and Lance is Lance.

I used to own an 01 Type SH with a manual. It was a very special car and I adored it. That being said, I’d pay $12-15k MAX for one in todays looney toons car market. $50k buys plenty of cars far superior to the 5th Gen Prelude.

It’s perfect. I’d have this over a Cayman or vastly more powerful Corvette any day.

The Audi e-tron version will be better looking and 30% cheaper. That’s the battery wagon you want.

Yes, let’s fire two people because Karen Squirrel didn’t like a joke on a car blog. You should demand to talk to the manager! Maybe they’ll refund you the money you spent to read this article...

This would be a boon for McLaren. Gives them access to different platforms and engines so they don’t keep rinsing and repeating the MP4-12C. I’d expect a rad McLaren SUV and EV to follow shortly. VAG isn’t stupid, they’re not going to damage the 2nd most popular brand in F1 by turning the automotive group into a Lambo

Yup. Car enthusiasts killed the enthusiast car.

Infotainment screens are pretty much universally awful. I’m holding out for another decade until they finally get the technology sorted out.
