Netflix should get a kickback! Seriously though, it’s about damn time F1 broke through in America. It’s been lonely being a fan.

Nobody actually watched the video apparently. Jeezus, I hate the internet. I’ve seen accusations that Martin was being racist by “ordering” her to rap. No wonder our world is so screwed. Martin and Megan were perfectly polite to each other. It was her bodyguard that was a dick.
How old are you? Genuine question, not being snarky. F1 is becoming successful in America right now thanks to Drive to Survive. As my ex-gf who got into the sport last year put it “it’s a bunch of hot, rich, melodramatic European men being catty and racing fast, beautiful cars.”
Africans likely reached the Americas by ship long before Columbus as well.
Democrats have been losing ground since Reagan was elected in 1980 on a platform of “government is the problem.” The political spectrum has shifted rightward over the past 40 years to the point that there isn’t a Far Left in Congress anymore, just a few token “lefties” like ACO and Bernie with no power. Democratic…
This needs to happen. Drive to Survive is huge right now in the US. Popularity of F1 is spiking. Sleeping on this momentum for a few more seasons is a missed opportunity.
Can’t wait for the head-to-head against the front-drive (sad noises) BMW 2 Series.
Beautiful story. Thanks for sharing!
He should be put in an island prison with magnetic boots. And summarily executed. Even though Schrödinger’s jab paradoxically does and doesn’t prevent infection.
Nailed it! That’s the right amount of expectation.
Your expectations of Jalopnik F1 coverage are much too high.
EVs will reduce localized pollution, but even if every passenger vehicle on Earth was EV, it doesn’t move the needle on climate change or destroying our environment with chemicals and plastics.
Daddy Stroll’s plan for AM makes a lot of sense: clone Ferrari. Boutique luxury car company + Formula 1 team + lifestyle brand (I’m sure it’s coming). And in the cost cap era of F1, teams with a road car company have a huge advantage because they can hide F1 R&D costs.
Not really, no. Sadly I’m an old, bitter man now (over 30) and not in the market for sport compact coupes anymore.
Smart. Full electrification won’t move the needle on climate change. And full electrification won’t happen for decades, if ever.
Thanks RBG!
It’s brilliant messaging. The phrase “Tax the Rich” will be broadcast, published, and repeated thousands of times over the next few weeks. Doesn’t matter if it’s praise or criticism, what’s important is that the phrase is repeated. Over time it starts sounding normal.
It’s better looking than a Cayman. I bet they steal a few Porsche customers and this sells decently well. In LA where Caymans are as common as Corollas, I bet some folks will want something different.
Google Sha’Carri Richardson.
Good idea. I’d start watching FP1. The teams would deny it’s a defacto qualifying round. High stakes to be quick without binning the car.
