i love that it is on fire underwater.

I imagine the driver turned on AutoPilot and was watching Harry Potter movies.
How many Model X owners do you suppose read their owner’s manual?
Learned this one the hard way (should’ve already thought of it) - if you don’t already have welded pads for load distribution, might be good to throw something under to help spread that out. I had something on jack stands for a couple weeks over this past summer, and didn’t think about how asphalt softens in the heat…
Same here, I feel the redundancy helps. If I can, I also put some of those wheel ramps under the wheels.
I know it isn’t practical to do so all the time, but I almost always lower the car onto the jack stand(s), then raise the jack back up to where it is slightly engaged. I figure it is an additional failsafe.
I just came here to hate on jet skis. Or water cockroaches as we call them.
This is awesome, and I honestly think this is how all hybrids should have been from the get go!
So, Patrick’s question finally got answered!
Out of all the EV brands that could’ve suffered the fire-drowning, it happened to be a Tesla. That’s so “awful”.
Pretty sure that’s a Lambo, dude!
So basically, RAM has built a Chevy Volt pickup. NICE! Sign me up!
the child in me wants to throw some batteries into my neighbor’s pool just to watch an underwater fire
Based on Ram’s description, it appears to be a plug-in series hybrid electric vehicle. The truck only receives propulsion from the electric motors, but has a range-extending gas engine onboard that powers a generator. The truck can determine how to use the generator’s power, depending on how much power it needs to…
I blame this on people are stupid and don’t know how to drive/use their cars.
Exactly. Nothing wrong with developing strictly EVs, but there is no reason to not keep developing hybrid powertrains at the same time.
This is exactly what I’ve been waiting for in a hybrid vehicle. Electric for the daily commute and no worries about range or sitting around waiting to charge on a road trip.
100% agree, but that’s what happens when politicians set rules and laws without due diligence.
This is what all of the major truck makers should have been doing instead of looking into EV’s.
