You’re right of course. It’s just amazing to hear the stories from my wife’s family - all her sisters, her daughter, and her nephews/nieces have gotten it already and, like Arcanum Five says, we’re in the category of “Who Knows When” here.

Economics - the only “science” which, as time goes by, 1) reaches no consensus on what’s true, 2) gets no better at predicting what’s going to happen in the future, and 3) makes no progress in solving the problems it’s intended to solve.

I’m seeing three alternatives to explain this and all the other wacko nut job movements these days:

I’ll put in a good word for the mediation route (although I certainly realize it doesn’t work in all cases). My mediated divorce was comparable in hassle to buying a house, and that even with kids and a house to divvy up.
