Quite the contrary. Sony brass have said recently that they read popular forums (like GAF). Hell, they could post there and we'd have no idea. In fairness, there are some official Microsoft people who post there and that are responsive on Twitter.

You'd be terrified of how deep some people have taken it. For example, from this gif, use it as something Banderas sees as he sits down to his computer before pulling back and relaxing.

This is "supposed" to be a gif that shuts off console warring since it points out hiccups in both systems, but— hand to god— people just argued harder instead of taking the joke.

You forgot the "official" fix— If you think you can tell the difference, simply sit back farther until 720p or 1080p no longer matters! Common sense!

I'm inclined to agree, which means the ending of this DLC is probably insanely depressing.

It's price I'm most curious about. Sony sells some bonkers-expensive immersion headsets for watching blurays and I can't see how they make such a gigantic leap ahead unless they've invented some kind of dark magic to make it all work and for cheap.

They have a PS4 VR set in development. It almost showed it at TGS this fall but yanked it last-minute so they didn't muddle up the rest of the marketing. I'd vaguely expect a "full" reveal at next E3 and, lord willing, some actual hardware for holiday 2015.

Can't disagree that any/all of that would be neat, but sadly it's pushing heavily into an epic wishlist piece of hardware and not something plausible. One big thing— The Vita would be great with an HDMI out, but now we can understand why they didn't do that.

This is the correct answer. Period. Discussion of any other memorable characters is time wasted on meaningless banter.

I think there are a variety of PS4 games that are seeking to make the Vita a fancy controller using extra display. Vita extension on the Vita? That falls in the "neat, but niche/inefficient to develop for/why?" area.

The laser can only output a certain amount of power, regardless. Putting light through a magnification device doesn't magically increase the speed of light. The instant it leaves whatever "device" is projecting the same thing will happen to it no matter what.

Nah, that's just pressing the short-travel activator for another piece!

Change to what, exactly?

Very common. With these games there's a "get it" or "doesn't" and not all that much in the middle. A little room in the middle for people who fall in love for certain quirks in the art style, but a divergent player base overall.

As another person who is also anticipating some coming JRPGs and still have several left to 100%, I'm holding off on the PS4. I'd had one pre-ordered but cancelled when I realized that there was nothing that interested me enough to justify the purchase.

Between review units, MS brass and the like, that's not a totally unreasonable number of people playing. Since all those players had no qualms with logging into XBL and exposing themselves to potential drama with Microsoft I'd have to think most of it is legit.

I'm not sure if "suspicious" is the right word, but there are questions that would be great to know the answers to.

The DLC isn't there to screw players or rake in heaps of cash? Bull. Total bull. They wouldn't bother making it in the first place if the margins weren't huge. Explain to me how 50 cars for $50 in a season pass isn't making them money versus $60 retail for the whole game up front?

Thanks for the reply!
