They MOST DEFINITELY were not trying as hard as they claimed to - at least T-Swift wasn’t anyway. IIRC Bruce said something along the lines of “I don’t understand technology but I’m worth paying for,” which.... eh.

I’d like to know more about this “emulation box” you speak of...
To me, the fact that she had ANY doubt at all is pretty telling of how in-line her kid is with her own (probably pretty fake) political stances...
Right? And if ever there were evidence that religion/God/whatever were manmade bullshit, it’s this mortal human telling a bunch of zealots that they get a hall pass for meat during one of the times many of them are actually at their most orthodox.
See that’s the thing. I always thought this about the Catholics. But then, my uncle (a Catholic Deacon) has told me story after story about times where he clearly should have felt actual, human guilt... but didn’t! Because as quickly as you feel that guilt, you just ask Padre to forgive you, say some nursery rhymes…
Counterpoint: AS SOON AS someone on Reddit figures out where the landfill is, it will become like that ET Atari situation but a million times more nuts.
For season two, they’ll tap Matty Healy (of the 1975).
So... it’s really only a matter of time before we hear about actual, terrible on-set sexual violence/assault, hostile workplace, etc by Levinson and Weeknd, right?
Feels a bit like apples and oranges.
Until now, I had never been privvy to the “Madonna: Known Appropriator of Blackness” discourse before (mostly because I was never really that into her as an artist, or person - really I just liked her in A League of their Own), but I got a major vibe from that picture on the left, where she is cosplaying as Dr. Dre.
I could give a shit about her getting plastic surgery or “aging gracefully” (which feels weird to say). However, the look on the left, I’m getting a real “appropriating Dr. Dre” kind of vibe...
A very annoying person once told me, condescendingly, that it’s pronounced broo-sket-ah as opposed to broo-shet-ah.
He looks like such a goober in that picture. For someone so confidently athletic, he does not seem to hold himself well out of uniform.
Also, if they were SO AFRAID he would throw the knife, why were they following him?
I think a lot of it also has to do with fewer young people (Gen Z, specifically) driving or owning cars - so it makes sense that a place where you can eat, drink, and play all under one roof would appeal to them.
The use of “my unaborted daughter” alludes to the existence of an aborted one, for the record.
It is absolutely PHENOMENAL on roasted brussels sprouts.
In college I lived in a house with one friend and two strangers - all had our own rooms in different parts of a Philly rowhouse. If any one of them were being murdered, I would not have known UNLESS they were absolutely wailing/screaming. With the friend, I may have found out the next morning. The strangers? DAYS…
Yeah... once I started learning about the roots of ska music pre-No Doubt (and their ilk in the mid-90s), it dawned on me that she was a bit exploitative to say the least. It only got worse when they ditched the horn section of the band and moved to... whatever their third album was.
It shouldn’t be burnt. At least, not majorly.
