Can we talk about the phenomenon of “really wanna Google, but also very nervous to Google”? Cuz that’s what I’m feeling in this tread with people naming stuff that “compares” to this garbage game.

Well, she didn’t totally quit. She still teaches there. She just dropped from the dean position... which is a funny way to try to take a moral stand for Christianity.
I disagree with Andrei. But anyone who does agree, isn’t that part of the problem? If you can write “same article” every week and have it land every week, isn’t that indicative that NOTHING FUCKING CHANGES.
As much as I love the show, I would watch the hell out of a web series (or something) of little vignettes like B99's cold opens. They land every single time.
I spend too much time in a car to enjoy watching others exist in cars.
While I agree, what some consider “shitty” others may not. It’s a bit too grey (and based on hindsight) to actively pursue UNTIL accusations are made public.
This was similar to my immediate reaction to reading the article. My wife (who is/was a fan of his for many years) has dragged me to a few of his shows and, while I don’t care one way or the other for his music, as a punk-rock fan I was always at least somewhat entertained by his willingness to stop and start songs,…
“insisted in seeing a picture of her first...”
Can I borrow this idea? I like it so much!
Yeah... I a”vaxxer” could sorta, kinda understand his point about the germs - even though I don’t agree. But the point about things you can’t see not being real DOES NOT hold up, ESPECIALLY for a Christian.
It’s especially tough to handle when a LOT of the”rules” or ideas put forth in that book are used to justify some pretttttty fucked up stuff. I often wonder what the cross-section of Americans who believe the Bible should be followed to the letter is with those who feel the Constitution is not outdated...
Yeah. I want them to be real, but a few of those Twitter handles scream of bot/hacked/autonomous...
Funny - this article is not about the Super Bowl.
As a Henry Rollins fan, I find this comment both offensive and oddly accurate. Kudos.
I’m sure this will stay grey, but I’m going to say it anyway:
There’s two things you “they should be able to survive” folks may not be considering:
At the risk of sounding cliche - social media is a big part of it. Every time some dumb-dumb does something viral, all the other kids think the same rules/forgiveness/fame/etc apply to them when they do the dumb thing, too.
Fellow person who works in schools here...
If it was meant to be some kind of political statement (however weird/misguided/felonious), at least sing the correct lyrics...
One positive that has come from this whole social experiment of Trump as president: half of the American people have joined together in an effort to find excellent, new, and creative ways to insult him, thereby increasing our collective vocabulary.
