It's pretty knowingly camp to me.

I like the idea of him succeeding in a small town high school way, not to become like an international pop star. Who the f*ck knows where they're going with it on the show but good looking guys with somewhat decent musical talent have garage bands all across America, I don't mind it for Archie.

His argument (especially in a small town like Riverdale) that people wouldn't trust a company whose bookkeeper was literally in bed with an embezzler is a valid one to me.
