I heard about it at a developer conference during a chat with some peers. There was another IP that Niantic got hold of too for a “Go” style game, can’t remember what it was, but I specifically remember them winning the bid on Harry Potter and another bid being put forward for another big IP that they were expected to

Completely forgot about this, I heard about it last year. Thought it would have been released by now.

Ouch, I expect a lot of people would have downloaded and ran this malware before Crunchyroll got the site down.

Guess it’s time to unbind voice lines from my mouse side-buttons...

This “financial loss” is over anti-competitive laws, another of the valid reasons to take a cheat developer to court (like copyright infringement, where applicable).

Not all cheats are equal, just that this particular one does break copyright, apparently, so Epic can go after them legally.

What I like about these is that they’re spawned from screen-space, so I’ve had birds appear from seemingly no-where in the closed alpha by walking around those street-lamps and staring at them.

Oh wow that’s very nice! Lots of hope then.

Shame. The actual emulator on the SNES Classic would need modifying to support the high-resolution 512 modes.

I’m very interested in how Seiken Densetsu 3 plays, the menu system for that uses the high-resolution 512 mode, something that was rarely used for SNES games. I’m wondering if that’s even implemented for SNES classic mini as I don’t think any of the included games uses this mode.

I keep them with my PC games because now I can play them on PC if I want to.

Yeah you did write a book about Final Fantasy

Yeah I know, right? Unity engine...Jeez...

I’m actually playing through this game at the moment. It’s definitely not free of criticism and I think your points do touch on the issues I’ve found.

I found that gamers simply know nothing about how games actually work and how they are made. I’ve been explained to by some that it’s because devs are too secretive.

Epic games, with their Unreal Engine, would have been the perfect company to do this (evidence; this article, and Unreal Engine). There’s a good reason why they aren’t doing this.

I think you’re referring to when you’re facing a group of soldiers then part of that group will split up, shout “Flanking!” and run in random directions to get out of your line of vision.

Oh wow that’s really awesome and quite impressive, never would have predicted this happening for the Switch.

A warning is needed! This game may temporarily affect your vision. I found that my colour perception had been affected after about 2 minutes of moving around in this game and it’s taken a bit of time for my vision to return to normal.
