Except a hack involves external manipulation; this is all done in the game due to a programmer oversight, so it’s technically a bug exploit.

Square still does very shoddy PC ports of Final Fantasy games. We buy them to make Square realise that PC is worth putting the effort into and believe they’re slowly coming round to that.
I was describing where the oversight could potentially occur.
My first thoughts are “it probably isn’t unsigned” as most games I come across these days seem to use signed int types everywhere, as if unsigned isn’t even needed anymore, so I’d say it’s neither likely or unlikely.
If an unsigned integer is being used and the only check is “if ( rank > 5000 ) rank = 5000;” then underflow would cause -1 to wrap to the max value and then clamp back down to 5000, so it could still be integer underflow.
Sega has been famous for its policy on fan games for a while.
I have a suspicion they’re trying to take the obvious name so Microsoft is forced to pick a weird name for their Scorpio like “XBone Deluxe” or “New XBone” or “XBone 2”
I’m finding this painful to watch...
I’d like to see a list of anime that are worse the second time round.
I certainly would be. I’m a fan of Lain, but I recognise that it’s actually pretty crappy and I’d like to see a 2016 grounded opinion.
Alice in SELain is Lain’s best friend, who survives the entire show; the girl who killed herself at the beginning is Yomoda Chisa
I remember re-watching it recently and hitting the end and just feeling like crying because I did not want it to end in the slightest. Such a roller-coaster of emotions and it was the first anime series to give me the same feeling of never wanting a book to end.
I think Tamers is probably the best Digimon series, as much as my nostalgia loves 01 and 02, Tamers really nailed it.
I’m starting to get bored of GameXplain saying “Analysis Machine”. We know it’s not a machine, it’s a sweaty nerd staring really closely at footage being played back at half speed, writing down some interesting points and then doing some Googl’ing to find references and having a beer and thinking about what the game…
I think Forever would have been good if it came out in 2007, literally all of the jokes in the game were pre-2007. I don’t think they updated the references at all between that year and release and the game-play was pretty much bang-on 2007 era FPS (right at the start of the generic FPS plague).
I think the best way to reinvent Duke would be to keep the same guy but stick him in the real-world.
Final Fantasy V - The Chicken Knife. Every time I reached a new town I’d flee from 10 encounters on the world map.
Yeah I play Nintendo games on an Xbox controller (and PS4 gamepad) perfectly fine. I press button A for where the game expects button A to be, I simply have no reason to ever think about what labels some person in a factory decided to write on my controller.
Personally I don’t find it annoying in the slightest. I find it outstanding that people get confused over button prompts.
My PS4 gamepad driver lets me use the touch pad as a track-pad, and that’s an absolute godsend.
