Region-locking is pretty much due to physical entertainment and distribution license differences, this news makes me think that the NX is going to be a digital platform.

I live in London and the local bus service basically stopped going to town on the day Mario Kart Wii came out. What a bummer. My brother and I walked 3 hours into town, bought the game, bought the Orange Box for good measure, then walked the 3 hours back home.
Ouch, that needs to be fixed
My comment is more about the kids who “draw manga” rather than draw characters or draw comics. They are purposefully going for manga style because that’s cool, rather than going for their own style that would most likely look much better.
No I’m claiming that people are trying to imitate manga too much, this article shows that you clearly do not need to imitate it to become a manga artist, she started off just doing comics with her own style
Even as a child her drawings look a million times better than when western kids attempt to draw manga. Heck, I’ve seen some 20 year olds still attempt to draw manga and it comes out looking dumb.
That trash can is an old Source engine physics bug, the force applied gets added each time it is crushed but it is not released, so it is stored, making it incredibly deadly and unstable. There’s a physics prop in Episode 2 that naturally has this property IIRC, so it can potentially launch you up into the air to fall…
Tetra Master would have been better than Triple Triad if they didn’t have the random damage factor, ruins the point in a card game entirely.
I one time in crunch I realised I was coding without putting any thought into it; felt like I was no longer doing a fun job but just on auto-pilot of churning out standard computer science solutions to problems, no “new and awesome tech” was being produced for those months and as a result all passion was lost in the…
Cosmetic mostly, but this feeds into the realm of physics calculations too, so it can introduce new types of physics based games.
Just a reality check here; DX12 won’t bring much to xbone beyond more flexibility, this boom in polygons will only be felt over on PC, so you can guarantee this was a PC demo (considering since FFXIII Square internally develop on PC for asset and debug reasons, it’s very likely).
You can do some rather powerful things in RGSS;
I’ve seen some very good RPG Maker maps in my time, they use space very effectively, not mimicking the square shape of real interiors.
It just seemed out of the blue to have the game published by you guys :V
PS1 had a C compiler (and a basic C++ compiler, but it wasn’t very library safe).
Oh yeah, what’s the deal with GangBeasts?
I’m asking for what they did with FFX, an engine refactor, nothing more. I don’t care about the low resolution renders or anything, give it the FFX treatment!
My question is; have you seen the classic SCUMM characters remade with 3D voxels?
> It’d be nice to see them port over FFIX or FFXII.
I’ve seen it, but it’s actually perspective-locked, I don’t think that’s a viable solution as it will require a lot of 2D assets that will need to be modified for lighting, etc.
