Awesome. I'd like to learn C++ but know I'll only learn it if I'm using it in a project. I learned the fundamentals of OOP from scripting in Unity so I'd like to do the same with C++ in UE4.

Not bad. I'm a Unity developer myself and wish we had better terrain tools. Was all the terrain done in UE4? I've only ever used UDK like 4 years ago but I'm debating dabbling in UE4. I'm also looking at using C++ in a game environment so not sure if UE4 would help with that. I believe they have a custom script that…
As cliche as these things sound they are true. I think people just underestimate the amount of work and dedication it takes to get what you want in life. Yes, there is always a solution, and sometimes that solution means giving something up in your life. Other times it means swallowing your pride to look at things…
That's how I tell myself that bending the rules or using loopholes is fine. If it doesn't really affect anyone much then I see it as totally fine. If it means a few or even a handful of people are going to get in trouble for something I did then I don't do it.
My last job I quit, due to having a job offer for the job I'm currently at. The one previously I had been laid off. I was a contractor and got replaced by a more permanent government employee. I have no qualms telling people that because people understand how contracting works.
I found that usually people will be more willing to hire you and work with you if you're a great person to be around. I've met plenty of assholes who did amazing work but I wouldn't want to partner up with them by any means.
If you're finding out what you're good at and getting better and better at it aren't you doing what you set your mind to? I think a lot of people "spin their tires" in their 20s. I'm 28 and I've already been through one career and slowly moving into what I actually want to do.
I'll definitely have to try this out. I've never had home cooked pizza but this seems like an easy alternative.
That's how I feel when I play CS Go and I'm the top player and everyone gets a drop but me. It's even more annoying when it happens 3 matches back to back.
Same here. I never get so mad that I physically throw something, most of the time it's just me steaming. I only really ever play CS GO lately and there's plenty to be pissed about in any match. From the AWP campers that seem to kill you from a mile away to the teammates that hide around the corner and let you rush…
I usually buy my own router. I had the same one that Cox was using for the longest time. It was Motorola one and it kept dropping every now and then to the point that I'd have to reset it every couple of hours.
I agree. I think this is a pretty awesome move on their part. We all know a lot of companies have mass lay offs after a game ships or is getting ready to ship. This is a great way to not only suppress that but to keep great talent on board.
Definitely going to be checking this out. Traditional ways of looking for jobs tend to suck and unfortunately my network for the industry I want to get into isn't very big so maybe this'll help.
Smackdown was by far my favorite. I remember I had WCW Nitro and it was terrible compared to Smackdown. Always laughed when you'd knock someone out and the guy would go into this cartoonish fall backward with a loud smacking sound.
Well Glassdoor has something like that where you can read reviews from people who work at these various companies. It can be hit and miss though but it's a step in the right direction. I do think the industry is going to change for the better, it might get worse until then but I do think it'll eventually get much…
This looks pretty good, I'll have to check it out. Thanks!
Doesn't surprise me. I used to drive a WRX myself, glorious car.
Funny, I remember I had a Chase account. When I logged in they didn't allow me to use my secure passwords but a simple passwords. I always thought it was ridiculous that a bank of all places didn't have super stringent login credentials.
Great stuff. I'm about to go on a road trip to visit family. Thankfully nothing really new for me in this picture. I just filled up my tires last night.
