An example of how to do an amazing Pyke without race facing:

Trying having the same skin tone as a Roma in Europe, or having a darker skin complexion in places like Cambodia. It isn’t just an American thing.

She’s still using race as a costume. There are plenty of ways she could’ve done Pyke that didn’t involve race facing.

The core problem is this: It doesn’t matter how detailed, how much care she took, or anything else: Livanart is still treating race as a costume. Race is not an accessory or costume that can simply be taken off at the end of the day.

Well, Blizzard is for sure not taking live questions at BlizzCon. Which is sad because that’s a hallmark of Blizzard. I also think any of the Blizzard employees that signed up to be on the floor have to be sweating due to awkward questions.

Eh they're world building is... Fine? They've yet to tell a proper story with their world and have already had to retcon numerous things.

Those are not butter tarts :( The reason you have the shell is that they’re very goopy and need something to contain the sugary goopiness.

Because cosplay isn’t about looking picture perfect accurate?

I am 100% certain of that because the writer for Shadowbringers has discussed it.

Fun fact: gearbox is the publisher of Fortnite.

Square-Enix didn't know either :D

Never said it couldn’t work, it helps that From Software tends to have far better writing than Kojima.

If you’ve seen the E3/PAX West presentations (I have) it’s not a big jump. Several of the scenes presented go on about still-mothers, incubating babies, and the character Mama literally has a ghost baby running around that’s attached to her by a ghost umbilical cord and Mama herself is lactating. Yeah it’s not a large

Based on what I saw at PAX West, Death Stranding’s Achilles heel is its focus on babies and women/motherhood. Two topics that Kojima doesn’t have a good track record with. Before anyone says it, he managed it once with The Boss in MGS3, and has failed pretty badly outside of that.

I played the FF7 Remake demo at PAX West recently, and the thing that stands out the most to me is that the combat system is essentially a fixed version of FFXV’s combat system. I suspect once more people realize that about the combat, it’s a decision that will prove mildly divisive. For what it’s worth, I liked

There’s a whole lot more you can do with it, such as having actual “animated” games that follow particular artstyles. Cellshading will look quaint by comparison.

The other issue is that none of these tech demos are taking advantage of AI based graphics rendering*. That’s going to be a game changer on the same level of pixel shaders.

Do we know if the backgrounds have been updated too? I know they lost the original art but fans have been doing some amazing work with AI upscaling.

What makes you think I believe I’m owed a thing? My wife and I saw their reactions to some genuinely concerned customers, and as a result decided we didn’t want to support them by not buying their game. The free market at work.

If it isn’t abundantly obvious: I’m not referring to the developers reacting to the assholes

I didn’t talk about any lies. I said that the poor attitude that the Ooblets devs took towards well reasoned criticism from their Patreon supports and others, turned myself and my wife off from the game. Their initial responses are bad enough that I’m likely going to use them as examples of what not to say to your
