As I said elsewhere, everyone sucks here. The devs, the raging assholes on the internet, and Epic.

I’m going to go with “Everyone sucks here.” These devs responded to some well reasoned criticism quite poorly, a bunch of assholes on the internet threw death threats at the devs, and then there’s the whole Epic Game Store exclusivity issue whereby Epic is using its reserves of cash to compete on exclusives rather

And how much of that tech was stolen from Nortel?

When they’re making hundreds of millions a month, the advertising is a drop in the bucket. What gets me is that Epic Games is essentially a startup again. It’s wild.

Trust me, what’s missing from these photos is hundreds of hours of blood sweat and tears. Also hundreds to thousands of dollars per costume (never mind the tools...). Everyone has their hobby so if cosplay isn’t yours that’s fine :)

Real talk, when is Overwatch getting an actual story? I want to care about these characters but it's hard because literally none of them have done anything with respect to the actual plot.

You should definitely include the new raid as part of your review. The music and callbacks to Final Fantasy 8 are great.

I doubt it. The Switch uses USB-C to output video to the dock which then has an HDMI output. The Switch Lite has a USB-C port too, and I doubt removing the data transfer portion of USB-C would save much space or money. I have no clue what Nintendo is doing removing the original Switch’s killer app.

This fails the “can it fit into a purse” test. It’s not meaningfully smaller and it doesn’t have the original Switch’s killer feature.

You are in for a treat with the final chapter of the story :)

The problem with protect/ban systems is that they don’t simultaneously solve the problems that are present in the ranked competitive queues which is: 5 people insta locking DPS and making it so your team auto loses before the match starts. Additionally, restricting roles to 2-2-2 might open up for better balance,

Most of a MMO’s code base is not in the client engine, but in the servers. They absolutely reused a ton of that to launch A Realm Reborn on the timelinr they did.

A more succinct way of expressing your thoughts: Joshua didn’t engage with the game on its own terms.

I’m not trying to blame the contractors at all.

I really wish Luke added a blurb about how Steam’s cut is often far less than 30% due to how Steam keys work and the existence of tiered takes based on sales.

Unfortunately, thanks to a lawsuit against Microsoft a few years back, contractors have to be treated like second class citizens. Basically, Microsoft used to give its contractors most of the perks of its full-time employees. One contractor successfully sued arguing that, because they got most of the perks, they

Oh really? What part am I lying about?

I had a chance to play this at PAX East and besides what you mentioned, what impressed me was how tight and responsive the controls were.

You missed the part where I implied I can’t actually complain given how much I enjoyed Dirge of Cerberus :p

The one thing that gives me pause is Barret’s lines and voice, but Kotaku already covered that back in May.
