If you’ve seen their stats then you work for Blizzard. To my knowledge, Blizzard hasn’t shared any meaningful stats publicly. The closest they got is Jeff Kaplan showing a graph that allegedly demonstrated that endorsements improved the atmosphere of the game. Except the graph had no scale on its X or Y axis and it

It is telling that Kaplan talks nothing about toxi—err disruptive players (Blizzard’s term). Valve has done studies showing that the majority of people will quit a game and never come back due to disruptive players. I went to the “Play Nice, Play Fair” panel at BlizzCon and was disappointed there was no Q&A because I

For a K-Pop group the designs are meh. As my wife pointed out, they don’t actually look like a K-Pop group because their designs are 100% sexy with 0% cute. The closest designs get is Akali. For example, when they sang at the World’s, notice that the dancers actually had a bunch of cute stuff blended in with their

The thing is, JCPenny tried doing away with this tactic and it turned out people stopped buying from them. It turns out there’s some weird psychological stuff around sales.

I love how Epic Games is essentially a startup again. They have so much money they don’t know what to do with it.

In your Moira example, you’re suppose to outheal Mercy (well, on the current patch at least). Beyond that the problem is possibly the Mercy isn’t healing the tanks enough resulting in a cascading effect. Or maybe the tanks aren’t protecting the Mercy. Or maybe you aren’t healing enough which results in a cascading

Makes me sad I didn’t go to the WB focus group a few weeks back. Then again, if I did I wouldn’t be commenting on anything related to this cause NDA.

I think the special projects desk should take a serious look at why Blizzard has such a hard time with toxicity. While yes, other games like DotA 2 and LoL have their issues with toxicity, at least those companies seem to be working on it*. There’s a ton of circumstantial stuff out there that shows Blizzard is just

I think the alternative is for Blizzard to actually seriously invest in both addressing toxicity and its causes within Overwatch. The game does a bad job of encouraging people to play as a team and this tends to result in a lot of toxicity. The LFG tool papers over this, but it’s really only a bandaid at heart.

It is 100% a statue. Stellar editing.

You should be fine, if a small amount leaks you can smell it pretty darn quickly. The question here is: Why didn’t the woman smell it?

Part of shifting culture is teaching what is and is not acceptable, aka teaching consent. This is the long game we have to play and it’s going to take decades.

#metoo needs to start pushing for proper education around consent. This shit starts in childhood and is where the fight needs to start. The province of Ontario recently updated its sexual education curriculum to start educating children about consent starting in the first grade. It could probably go farther but I feel

It’s hard to tell with these photos. You’d need something completely unedited or see it in person.

Keep on throwing up strawmen, I’m done knocking them down. The head tax and dealing with the ultra rich are two separate issues and I’m only talking about the head tax.

What we’re talking about (the head tax) has nothing to do with dealing with the super rich. However it has everything to do with how Washington State has one of the most regressive tax schemes in the US. Mainly because it has no income tax.

The bill was bad because the governments shouldn’t be penalizing employment. That is precisely what the head tax was doing.

The bill itself was bad. However the problem is that Bezos also opposes all other kinds of taxation that would actually fix the problem (ie. an income tax). So it was no surprise that, having had good forms of taxation blocked in the past, that city council went forward with a shit bill.

You clearly have no idea what you are talking about.

If you think Jackson Pollock’s paintings are the art then you don’t understand Jackson Pollock. His paintings hanging in the museums are evidence of his art, but are not actually the art itself. To him the art was in the process. This is why he videotaped himself painting.

But beyond that you have such a narrow minded
