I also know very little about football or basketball lol, but that doesn’t mean I need a rundown of the rules in movies about star athletes etc to simply know that they are star athletes.”

GOOD to hear. I’ve been suffering with both of these issues

Me and you are on the same page, my friend.  Those are two of my favorites as well.  Gojira live is, indeed, a thing every metal fan must see.

The other is about a terrifying borderline psychopath taking his family into the mountains where he will probably kill them, and there happen to be evil ghosts there.”

Maybe I have no taste, but I think the new guy is just as good in his own way. Definitely brings a new dynamic to the band, and in a positive way.

My gripe with Schitt’s Creek being on this list is specific to Season 6 - by this point, all the cynical edge has been sanded down.  It was good, don’t get me wrong, but Seasons 1-3 were far superior.

Kvelertak album is my favorite by leaps and bounds. And then, astonishingly, their former lead singer also put out an album this year ... and it’s nearly as good!

Little Fires wanted so desperately to be perceived as a “prestige drama,” but it was a pretender. It was a dumb network-level production that never really addressed its themes in any manner other than superficially and/or ham-handedly.

I enjoyed The Undoing for the popcorn fun that it is, but Gwen I CANNOT get behind Little Fires. My gosh, it was awful. So utterly silly and pointless, and made a million times worse by a laughably bad performance by Kerry Washington.

Strong agree.  That movie theaters (other than, perhaps, kitschy places like the Alamo Drafthouse) will die out as a business model has been something on the horizon for quite some time now.  Covid has accelerated the process, and so be it.  Industries die over time.  Consumers have moved on.  I’m hard-pressed to be

and why weren’t the cops doing anything?!  Isn’t it their job to protect the kid?!  This guy might hurt him.

The gym in my office building (which is effectively empty because my building is mostly empty) has an Echelon bike and subscription. I’ve used it a number of times and it seems perfectly fine. The instructors are good. The bike is good. What more do you get by spending the Peloton premium?

The Truman Show is so weirdly underrated. Fantastic, fantastic (and wildly prophetic) film. Certainly it’s better than As Good as It Gets and The Full Monty. And it has something far more interesting to say than Titanic and Good Will Hunting.

I had one of these!  freaking loved it

That’s the classic tv trope, right?  The defense attorney randomly giving a speech during a cross examination.  In a real courtroom a judge would lose their shit if a defense attorney pulled that nonsense.  It’s extraordinarily unfair and potentially poisons the jury.  The consequences could be devastating if the

This was baffling to me as well.  Why on earth would he lie about something he knew could be easily disproved?!

I think the bigger question here is why the hell did the prosecutor put him on the stand in the first place?! There is no question about the identity of the body, for instance, that the prosecutor would need his testimony to answer. His testimony wasn’t necessary, and it opens the door for cross examination to
