I’d argue that the most common change in a director’s cut is 5-45 minutes of extra padding that fucks up the pacing.”

Good stuff. I like the sound of Mamalarky. Going to check that out.

hahahaha “threatening.”  It’s a word one rarely uses to describe the interior of a home.  But it’s spot on here

Not enough likes.  Tony Montana finding this too gauche is the comment of the week.

Maybe it’s not the actors that are driving the lack of excitement, but rather the trailers we’ve seen so far? It looks like a really slick network production. Which, I don’t know ... blah?

I remember my friend’s dad had one of these in 1981-ish (I was 8 or 9 years old). And it was the coolest, most high-tech thing I’d ever seen. And it was also FORBIDDEN. We could not touch it, because the discs were so fragile.

What’s the current thinking as to whether you can contract this virus from touching surfaces? There still doesn’t seem to be any consensus on this issue.  The literature is all over the place.

I think you’re missing the heart of Zack’s question, though.  While, generally speaking, it’s silly to question the motives of a serial killer, it’s a question that MUST be asked here.  Because, otherwise, WHY IS SHE IN THIS SHOW?!  This is a show about warring crime families in 1950 KC.  If she has no motivation

That’s all well and good ... so why is she in this show?  This show is about warring crime families in 1950 KC.  And also about a random serial killer?  Why?

So it’s a good question, and it’s complicated. The biggest complication in the US is the home team blackout rule. I can purchase a season subscription for MLB (at a hefty price, by the way) which will allow me to watch every game ... except for my home team’s. They will all be blacked out. The concept is they don’t

one word: sports

Spot on.  A part for a spaceship!!  It’s so utterly silly.

If someone told 1999 Me, as I walked into the theater, that there is a “podrace” scene in the movie I was about to see that itself runs an inexplicable 9 minutes, and the plot surrounding the race IS nearly 1/3 of the movie, and it plays out like a Looney- Tunes cartoon, and it includes (i) a racer that craps out and

As an aside, I’d say that RotJ is the best Star Wars film up until you see Wicket’s feet. The ‘failed’ rescue of Han, the death of Jabbi and the speed biker chase scene are Star Wars on top form.”

Speaking of victimhood, yesterday I was reading an opinion piece in WSJ (mainly because I like to look at the MAGA hats getting trolled in the comment section) and among the conservatives as a whole - NOT limited to MAGA chuds - is this WHOLLY ACCEPTED characterization of the impeachment proceedings as nothing more

I don’t understand how we can talk about terrible acting on this show and not talk about the woman who plays Swanee. WOW is she bad. And that southern(?) or Texas(?) accent she puts on makes it ten times worse. I feel like Gaetano, Zelmare and Swanee are in a different show than the rest of the cast. It’s Looney Tunes-

Pardon me for my silly question, but why would the other characters know, or assume to know, that Swanee is Native American? She doesn’t tell them, so they would have no reason to think so. And she’s played by a white actor. And the show is set in 1950. I can’t fathom why anyone would reach that conclusion.

The clip of a Philadelphia DJ cranking the shit out of Beyonce and completely drowning out the “election fraud” press conference by Pam Bondi and Corey Lewandowski gives me SO MUCH LIFE. I feed off of it. It rejuvenates me. It’s delicious.

But the margins in the final swing states actually were pretty close.”

Caitlin you are spot on.  I just got mine this week and it is perfect.  I love it.
