I am not arguing at all about digital vs. physical-I just want to say that is one thing I like about trophies/achievements. Because a good trophy list can be a nice diary for what you did in a game.

I claim every single PS Plus game even if I am not remotely interested. It only took one time where I became interested in a game later to learn that is the most prudent course.

This. PS Plus is 13 years old at this point. Every single person knows that what we are talking about is not “free” but “for no additional charge”. Yet, someone has to bring up that it isn’t free every time PS Plus is mentioned in any article anywhere. When we all know what the author means when discussing “free”

Absolutely. He also has a really excellent guest turn in the first season of Justified.

Same. In an episode that was fantastic in every way, it actually bothered me that they threw Mortal Kombat in there instead of just putting in a version of The Turning. Since that is clearly what they are going off of there.

Oh, I am well aware! I almost put it in my post. Second episode I believe-he did not last long but he made an impression! I actually put “regular cast” in my post because I knew Offerman had appeared in Deadwood.

Me and my kids watch Over the Garden Wall together every Fall. It is so wonderful.

Ellie’s reaction is probably a little about Tess-but it is also (probably) largely about something else if the series continues to follow the game. I assume they will, since there have been small hints about it in the first three episodes...........

The one casting choice I questioned before the show came out was not bringing W. Earl Brown back to play Bill. He did such a great job in the game, and he is such a great actor (The regular cast of Deadwood may be the best cast assembled for anything anywhere).

My wife feels the same as you on both counts, but she really enjoyed the first two episodes. I am sure she will continue to, as TLOU is simply a fantastic story. I am really glad that the HBO show means that more people will get to experience it.

I am not sure what my favorite was (lots of contenders) but I can tell you that the ones that actively freaked me out were the huge snakes embedded inside people and the one that made skin grow over mouths and eyes. I actually had nightmares about both of those. The fact that both of those were re used in season 5

Probably. I just thought linking it to those tedious raft/plank puzzles in the game was more fun!

Extremely minor spoilers for game and show follow:

SPOILERS BELOW FOR FRINGE-we are probably out of spoiler territory at this point, but just in case: :)

Yeah, it really was fun and a perfect binge show. I don’t know what took me so long to watch it. I love sci fi and I love mysteries-my sons were little when it started, so I think I was too tired to watch anything. But my delay made for a nice gift in 2022!

It actually really bothered me. In fact, I thought the show went pretty far off the rails after Season 3. Whole plots were abandoned, and the nature of the show changed with a snap of a finger.

I agree-and I strongly disagree with an article. In the short time she has (shorter than the playtime in the game), I think Anna Torv does a great job of establishing Tess as a confident bad ass. It is very clear that Joel answers to her, and very clear she is the brains of the operation too. And even though the

I have also loved the first two episodes, but I really hope you get to play the game someday if you are at all interested. It is really something-one of the best of all time for me.

I just binged Fringe for the first time. I am now a big Anna Torv fan. Great performances on that show and in TLOU. We had so much less time with her here than in the game, and she still makes sure that Tess makes an impression. Outstanding.
