To each their own, and there is a lot to criticize about Rise, but this piece strikes me as unduly harsh for little reason. Like so much AV Club stuff these days, snark for the sake of snark with no real purpose. I am glad Ms. Lourd got to be a part of this if she wanted to be, and I thought the scene was fine.

I don’t know if you will read this reply from a days old article, but if you do I wanted to let you know that you were absolutely right. I played a lot of Jedi Fallen Order this weekend, and I now absolutely love the game. After a slow start, it has indeed gotten awesome. Thanks for encouraging me to stay with it!

Very well said. You have articulated the proper philosophy for dealing with backlog issues, thank you. So many get stressed out by the existence of a backlog (me included), when this hobby is supposed to be fun! Even if you have some games waiting, it is best to play what you want, when you want to. 

I have decided that the best way to handle my shameful backlog is to make peace with the fact that I am never going to play all of it. It frees me up to play what I want, when I want, and if I die before playing all of it and lose a couple of bucks in the process, oh well.
