I was hoping someone would mention this! The end credits this week were the best part of a very good episode.

I did not see that. Good catch!
I still think that not finding some role for Ian McShane in Justified-even if only for an episode!-is one of the great missed opportunities of television.
I love the MCU films, and can’t wait for Endgame. But I am smuggling in food and stuff for me and my son to make sure we make it through a measly three hours when we see the movie on Saturday. 59 is simply ridiculous. My family watched a number of these movies again over the last few weeks from the comfort of our…
AC Odyssey has sort of taken over my gaming life, so that. I will continue to push forward under the delusion that I might actually finish it up one day.
Dear Fox,
Thanks a lot for the spoilers you jerk! I knew I should have stayed off the internet till Saturday! :)
I am not going to read this review until after I see the movie on Saturday, but I am really looking forward to the film. The cinematic universe that Marvel has built is a pretty stunning achievement, and I have enjoyed the hell out of it. It has become old hat for Marvel at this point so it can be easy to forget how…
I like your take on the Hulk-Thanos fight.
I enjoyed the well written review of the Orville, as I always do. But I am struggling with the central premise of it, which seems to be that Ed’s bad actions make this outing “erratic” or uneven. On the contrary, I think the way Ed Mercer is being written is really consistent across episodes.
“And when an episode like “Sanctuary” shows just how good the show can be, it really hits home what a damn shame it would be if it isn’t allowed to grow and continue even further.”
The look on Thor’s face after that wiggle is probably the funniest moment in the entire MCU.
I agree with all that you and Tobias have said here, and there is also a great character moment for Tony Stark in that scene. When it is clear a leader is needed to lay out the plan, he says “Call it Captain”. At the start of the film (and the other Iron Man films), he was a self-involved lone wolf who would just do…
1. 2018 was the best year for superhero movies ever. I saw every film listed here (except Aquaman, sorry DC), and adored every single one. Just an absurd bounty of riches in 2018.
ME: “That can’t possibly be true.”
This episode had a few structural problems, as “holodeck” stories always do (this crew knows a ton about the 20th-21st centuries until they don’t), and it true that you have seen similar stories a lot if you are a Star Trek fan (Geordi and Lea Brahams etc.). But.....I was charmed by this. Scott Grimes was excellent,…
I am really sorry to be the bearer of bad news. I actually found out that Ricky Jay passed away from reading comments on AV Club. Ralph Richeson did such an amazing job bringing Richardson to the screen.
Probably not, but I wish there was the possibility anyway!
Great point, yes.
I rewatched The Catbird Seat recently (another series rewatch to prep for the movie!) and the scene with Ellsworth made me sad again-just like it does every damn time.
