Wasn’t the original plan to do a series of movies set at the same high school featuring different characters? Despite being critically well received, it looks like the poor box office killed off that idea.

Personally for me I liked Us as film on its own merits, whether that I found it particularly scary or not.

I really like Laurel and Hardy, so the film really worked for me. I know John and Steve split award nominations at Golden Globes and BAFTA, but I do think the film was massively overlooked.

In no particular order my top 5 so far are:

Not sure I’d want to date his daughter though.

Back in the day Channel 4 used to show MTV Awards over here in UK. The most memorable thing about them were the skits.

Yeah but apart from that...

I wanted a sequel to explain how the hell the second half of Termnator Genysis works (if John hadn’t been born in 80's?)

Smokin!

Is beer a euphemism for your sexual organ?

Fingers crossed, should be in the next book. So, only a ten year wait.

I don’t think the short running time and mean budget helped. Didn’t Fox only pony up some extra millions of $’s to make the final battle scene look better after some decent preview screenings (though I may be misremembering that).

Fair point, though child star MJ is still an icon of sorts. At least in terms of Motown’s prominent stars of 60's and 70's.

Tyler Perry in other people’s film, where he’s actually acting, is quite good. Gone Girl being the best example, though even his Star Trek cameo is decent.

Michael Jackson career dates back to late 60's, so he wouldn’t count as modern if the Beatles don’t.

Your username makes me think you’re being ironic, but the points you make are really valid.

Even though I don’t get to see his show from this side of the Atlantic (well legally at least), Stephen Colbert seems like a brilliant late night talk show host.

Another day, another C grade on AVC for a film I’m still probably gonna see (MiB Int being the other).

With respect I disagree, Barbershop, Think Like A Man and heck even the first Fox Fantastic Four was okay.
