I think it’s telling that so many of us AV Clubbers mention that fact.

I try and watch it once in a while, whenever it pops up on British telly. However with the ad breaks included, the film is nearly 5 hours long.

True, Liz Taylor was the ultimate Hollywood movie star.

It would be nice to see the original version, but sadly that wasn’t meant to be. Also it would be kinda interesting to see someone take on the project again and make it with whoever is deemed the Burton/Taylor equivalents (in fame if not similar talent).

Malek hands down is the best thing in BH, the problem is the overall blandness of the film.

Yeah Lion King is pretty a lock to be in the top 3 biggest films of the year. Even if Favreau completely botches the ‘live action’, folks will rush to see this film.

This now means Aladdin will be a runaway success and The Lion King will bomb.
