Malekith is pretty underwhelming as a villain, certainly not helped by the director’s decision to have Chris Eccleston and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje speak most of their lines in faux-Elvish. If you’re gonna get Chris in your film at least let him ham it up with some OTT Shakespearian-type language.

He’s fine as long as he isn’t asked to dress up as drug addicted British singers for Halloween.

I think they were/are already filming the sixth season, so I guess they don’t see it as a renewal.

I’ve never watched the American HoC, only the BBC series. After FU become Prime Minster there was only one way for him to down, which was down.

I like Jesse Eisenberg, just not as Lex Luthor. That might be a failing of the script. At least the extended version of BvS made Lex’s plan a tiny bit more understandable.

That happens with me too. It usually seems to correct itself when you go out of the article and come back later.

Cuban Fury is a bit meh. I can see why the film was delayed for 2 years, it’s nothing special and only middlingly funny.

Nate feels a bit like a fifth wheel at the moment. His role so far this season is him saying “You’re obsessed with her” or “I don’t trust you” depending who’s in the scene with him.

Until it was pointed out in the review I hadn’t really processed how badly Laurel is being written this season. I’m guessing they’re saving the juicy stuff for the mid season break, hopefully it’ll be worth it.

I still have trouble believing it’s her, funny & nice cameo though.

Tbh I was more impressed that Muppet Babies was able to pay homage to this in one of their episodes.

Fair point it probably does sound that way. Obviously rehashing season 1 would be pointless, I just need something more gripping than what I’m currently seeing.
