Having listened to the Empire podcast in which Fincher made his Star Wars comment, he does say the directing Empire was probably the best job. You don’t have to worry about setting up something new and you don’t have to worry about what followed.

Yeah I didn’t mind the episode that much. I thought the Pepper stuff was the funniest and strongest, with the other two plots ‘okay’.
