Hackman is amazing in that movie. He plays the sort of charming, mean-spirited asshole that I can imagine him being in real life. Munny is not the most compelling of characters but he does get the best bad ass moments. And some surprisingly poignant ones as well. The "killing a man's a funny thing" speech is quietly

Had you not seen Unforgiven before? Thoughts? It's one of my favorite movies and tied for favorite Western with Hillcoat's "The Proposition". (I assume we're talking about the Eastwood movie)

I did not stick around to the end of Rescue Me. Not having cable means I have to actively seek shows out to watch them. And by the start of the 4th(?) season it became clear that that show was going to into a complete nosedive.

You didn't happen to have played Wolf Among Us, did you? I'm not a comic reader but the game was pretty enjoyable. Still waiting for future chapters to arrive.

BROTHER!!!!

Really? I have a hard time hearing people sometimes so I tend to watch peoples mouths when they're talking and "he" certainly looked off as far as the mouth movements go. The rest wasn't bad, though.

Watch the featherweight/welterweight boughts. The heavy weight stuff is good for exactly one round IF it's the top-tier guys. Otherwise, yeah, it's a lot of sweaty hugging.

Huh, the one in Schaumburg had a vegetarian option the last time I was there that actually looked pretty good (stuffed portabella). That was probably… Jesus, 7 years ago.

I'm not sure how common it is. I've got friends and relatives who were in classes above and below me who always say my class is cursed. Hell, if I remember right the first casualty in my class happened the summer we graduated.

I've had the same thought. We're seeing a lot of "superstars" dying because we're 30-40 years out from when being a superstar became a thing. It's unfortunate, but not unexpected.

List of interesting animal discoveries and my first thought is, "Hey, that frog is like Mystique." Jesus, I need to get out more.

Seems awfully distasteful to be bragging about income under an article about charity and a family in need.

I can follow most of Even Flow. Yellow Ledbetter.. I don't even know what's going on with the title let alone the lyrics.

"2. Show the egg opening then cut away. Don't show the facehugger jumping out"

Wait… is that not on everyone's New Year's list?

This is still just a thought exercise and I feel I need to point out that I am pro-choice. But with following their logic that this is the murder of children, how much empathy would you give someone who you thought was complicit in infanticide?

A little empathy toward people who, correctly or not, believe that children are being murdered. Their opinion of you is not part of this equation.

It should, shouldn't it? I mean, they're boxes…

Eh, it's just latent Catholicism. I don't feel *that* bad about it.

I would have agreed with you up until this morning's "expand nuclear capability/let's have an arms race!" tweet. Pence is an evil bastard but he has the benefit of not being completely insane. Still kind of a toss up, though…
