That’s how I read it the first 3 times until I decided to read the blurb under the headline. I was like, not only is that a fast turnaround time for a Who episode to be so topical, but I also don’t remember that episode.

This is the kind of headline that could have used a definite article at the opening. “Doctor Who Tried to Warn...” has a distinctly different meaning for some people than if they were to read “The Doctor Who Tried to Warn....”

Why did my brain just go “Oh its ok she has a few regenerations left” upon reading the headline?

Honestly I like this idea. It gives people a chance to reimagine classic characters and see themselves instead of making the assumption that the characters are white by default.

Also, if you go and look at some of the shirts being modeled, one of the shirts has a confederate flag on it that just also happens to have marlins on the flag. So yeah, I’m going to say they definitely knew what they were doing.

This made it sound a lot more mysterious than it is. There’s not even anything subtle about it.
