Why is it a bad thing? Seems better than the ungainly “sticky-outy things”, no? Obviously the best case would be neither of those options, but is there something worse about this approach, accepting that the regulations are here to stay?

Yeah, that’s a screw up on my part. It’s allegedly launching with the turbocharged V6, but there have been some rumors of a V8 version, using the same engine that’s in the Levante Trofeo.
Technically none of this is confirmed, so it’s all still rumored.
Will this be a new resurgence for the old Italian nameplate?
Bradley, I’m psyched for this car, but at one point in the article you say it is V8 engined and later you say it has a V6. Which is it? Can one choose between them?
Okay

You have no idea what you’re talking about.
Not so Senna.
“Crown cut” sounds fancy but it’s just the normal way that boards are sawn from a log. Quarter sawn is actually more expensive because it’s more complicated and creates more waste, but it gives you a different grain pattern which is sometimes preferred. Quarter sawn boards are also more dimensionally stable.
I don’t know what you’re seeing, but this thing is beautiful...Only thing a little off putting is the headlights, maybe better more angular than round.
Mitsubishi would very much appreciate your 2 million
My new trillionaire fantasy is going to Mitsubishi and being like “call anyone who worked on the Pajero Dakar program 20 years ago and build me a singular brand-new street-legal SUV with a hilarious engine/transmission combo. Here’s two million bucks to get the ball rolling.”
I’m sorry but the car you just described is the new Grand Wagoneer. This car is pure sex on wheels.
I saw the rear 3/4 view and was all:
Yep, thought the same thing, kinda like an Eleanor. Hopefully, they won’t get sued.
$100k is most likely the fully loaded model.
