Joe the plumber and his hard-workin’, red-blooded, ‘Murican friends may use trucks for work, but they are not buying the $42,000+ models which represented the average truck price in 2019 accounting for incentives and rebates ($49k MSRP).

Please, oh please let this be sarcasm...

WRONG!!! Everyone should drive a 2008 Honda Fit Sport with duct tape holding up the bumper. It can haul anything you NEED. IF you have more than 3 kids, too bad, just sell a few. If you haul boat, buy a canoe. If you haul a trailer, just go really slow. Everyone should have a Honda Fit, because that is the car that

ou do realize that a lot of people actually work for a living and need trucks, right?

ah, he went to the kale insult! Thats a good one! Ah, yes, America, the home of real americans on dually 3500 super crews. You know, the working man who can afford a 75k truck. Like everyman.

I worked construction (heavy highway) for years and most guys drove late model sedans. Like 95%. the guys that drove trucks were usually foreman or supervisors that drove company trucks. The laborers, operators, masons, mostly drove 8-12 year old sedans and SUVs.

Fair point... but not THAT many people need trucks for their job. Go look in my company parking lot. None of those people need trucks. Holy crap there are a lot. Quad cab platinum, king ranch, ram cummins deisel. These people all sit on their ass all day.

How do people farm and do construction in parts of the world where oversized North American pickups are not prevalent?

People who do tough dirty work for a living NEED a chrome-plated, $57,000 Sierra HD? Hmmmmm

only trust vans that say “FREE CANDY” on them

I think we all realize that trucks are necessary for lots of jobs, and are thankful for their utility.

Oh. I ache with longing for such simplicity. An unfussy engine (just two valves per cylinder!) paired with an unfussily exposed engine bay, decent power and an absolutely flingable chassis made for an undeniably economical, modest car that could nevertheless be a delight when you put your foot down.

Guaranteed it’s a non turbo variant of the 3.5L V6 paired with hybrid systems. Which means I don’t think 400hp is going to be the number. Probably mid to low 300s. Torque should be good though, with the electric assist. I don’t think this truck is going to be about power numbers, it’s going to be about MPG above all.

Unless I’m worng there is no regular 3.5 in the F150. The base model is a 3.3 (280hp) and the Ecoboost is 3.5TT (375hp).

Somebody needs to isolate David Tracy. His condition is spreading.

Tell that to Brazil. They seem to have figured it out well enough.

Because you touched yourself that time.

Michigan voted him in by 10,700 votes. I hope they all remember Trump’s “playing favorites” bullshit come November.
