It’s just wild that for every “success” story you can point to, there are literally hundreds of artists whose work doesn’t lead to success, whose efforts are exploited by those who want to use their creations without paying for the right to do so.

That’s where “transformative use,” as the article literally references, comes into play. No two video game “playthroughs” will be alike. There’s no “fair use” argument when streaming and reacting to a film/TV show, though, nor should there be.
