Public service announcement that there is no such thing as “disciplining” a dog. Mammals learn best through positive reinforcement. Punishment is traumatic and nothing more. Not a leap to think she wouldn't allow him around the kids with no proof of parentage.  You are letting your experience color your impression of most men. Same line of reasoning some racists use. Congratulations.

I love all this “baseless claim” bullshit.  Show me anywhere in the article where it even hints that the man made his claim with no basis.  The only detail given EITHER WAY is that he is an ex-boyfriend, and that leans towards possible.    Careful, your bias is showing!

On the first part I get it, I was arguing on why a court can issue an order for a paternity test. They cannot know the dude was harassing her, and I have no idea what evidence there was from either side (the article doesn’t specify).

For the father to remain with the kids (not the mother) he needs to first know they are his kids. If he isn’t told and he learns of it later, he can pursue a paternity test. I don’t know how this whole thing came to be and the article doesn’t specify, I am just saying that this is the general concept of a court…

The mother doesn’t get to make that choice. Otherwise I could walk in a hospital, pick up a kid, call it mine and leave. Since we assign children biologically to mothers we should treat fathers the same.

Because the court ordered it and it’s obviously an important piece of information they wanted to make a ruling.
