The claim of Jezebel “never [being] a feminist blog” was made famous by Jessica Coen in her doubling-down replies to the outrage against the decision to publish pictues of an anonymous and unknown woman’s rape.

I recall seeing it on this website more than once. Maybe it was before your time, and it’s the kind of thing that’s hard to do a search for without remembering the exact phrasing, but it absolutely happened. Maybe ask your boss about it?

I’ve seen it on Jezebel at least three times over the years. The only person I can specifically name as having said it is Jia Tolentino.

While it is super annoying to see people contantly bring it up years later, it isn’t super helpful to deny that for many years the writers on this site would respond to any accusation that an article was anti-feminist by saying that Jezebel isn’t a feminist site.
