Fury Road had awesome visuals, stunts, and effects but the story was mostly nonexistent. It was the last twenty minutes of Road Warrior extended to a two hour movie. Not a bad thing! Just not as good as one might have liked.

My bad take: Did not love Fury Road. Ignoring the visual awesomeness, the characters were insufferable and I didn't care about anyone until the last 15-20 minutes. And none of it made sense. Tom Hardy spent the entire time grunting.

How about a remake with some actual character development and a plot beyond “turn left, then make a u-turn.”
