I knew this story made me feel like something was off, and yup. You nailed it.

Pretty sure that any high school graduate in California is also guaranteed acceptance to one UC if they have a 3.0 or better.
All my carps to da club!!!!!!!11!!1!11!!1
I live in LA and I call these "Frito Pies." They're my favorite thing to make while camping!
That abortion laws negatively affect women and seek to inhibit the existence of a legal medical procedure created solely for women? Seems like a cut and dry civil rights issue.
I used to work for FOX Sports here in LA and left at the end of last year. The development and launch of FS1 was really the catalysts for a lot of changes to happen at the company — most of which involved pushing out "the old guard" employees who tended to skew older and had more developed journalism backgrounds for…
It's so weird, because I got involved with Tumblr in the beginning (when Tumblarity was a thing, remember?) and back then it was more of an outlet for writers and artists. A big music blogging community used to be really active on Tumblr in those early days.
This is pretty much how my sister and I were raised as well. As a result, we were never picky eaters and we were introduced to a wide variety of food from a very young age. It's probably why I am obsessed with broccoli and tomatoes, and why my favorite "special" meal to get on my birthday as a child was sushi.
This is exactly like my 3 year-old niece. She will "only" eat the following things: Potatoes (in any form, preferably fried); McDonald's Chicken Nuggets; sprinkle donuts (no other kind); and cheese pizza. She is never given any other option, but is instead just given something from the above list because my brother…
I was (finally) given the diagnosis of having one of these "Unspecified Eating Disorders" a few months ago. (That's what it literally says on my medical chart — "Eating Disorder - Unspecified.") Getting that diagnosis was one of the greatest things that happened to me, because it allowed me to recognize that just…
Hah! I'm totally stealing that one day. "The theme of our wedding is 'wedding.'"
I am surprised at the lack of people commenting who have actually eaten at the Habit. It is, in fact, a pretty good burger chain. I might be biased because they serve chocolate malts, but whatever. The chain has become pretty common throughout California. I actually ate at one while driving home from a Fourth of July…
I just ate at a Habit in Visalia, CA. They're literally everywhere these days. How haven't you seen one?
I just started playing Leaf Green on my iPad. I grew up playing Red, Blue and Yellow (PInabll, too) but never played past those games because I wasn't big into video games, just Pokemon — and when I went to high school, I dropped the Pokemon act fast.
What you tell yourself now doesn't always work out in the future. If you told me at 15 I'd be living in a house with my younger boyfriend at 26 with no engagement or babies in sight for at least 5 more years, I'd be devastated. I'm the age my mom was when she had me, and she'd already been married for three years by…
As another writer with a voluptuous butt (quoting my boyfriend here) I think we should start the Writers with Nice Asses Club. Then we can keep this guy out and make him feel bad about all the nice butts and clever wordplay he's missing out on.
Break so bad, hurt so good.
