Major airlines couldn’t upgrade a portion of ~25k active planes; vs. 417K fixed and mobile cellular sites that are ready to go, but are being held up by a legacy airline industry that doesn’t even make their profits from…

Because it’s cheaper than replacing all their crappy altimeters. They’ve had more than two years to update their planes, they’re just trying to extend their capital expenditures out as long as possible.

One thing I’ve found is helpful is to look at foods you normally wouldn’t even consider because of the price or perceived skill required to prepare, because the world is insane right now.

There’s no need for an arbitrator; the carriers are operating within their licensed C-band spectrum; it’s not their responsibility to ensure airlines use altimeters that properly adhere to their own frequencies and filter out others.  

To be clear where the fault lies, it’s not the carriers’ 5G transmitters are bleeding into the airlines’ frequencies; they are very precise and will stick to the C-band frequencies between 3.7 and 3.98 GHz.

I have no knowledge on this, but how much of the increase in “luxury” car sales can be attributed to the appearance and spread of things like 84-96 month financing? People only see “the monthly payment is the same if I finance a Toyota for 5 years or a Lexus for 8; I’m going with the Lexus!”

Just put the orb mods on the ghost. To be fair, I don’t think there are enough air marshals to be on every flight into/out of the USA. My question is how shitty is Honduran airport security that people can just wander onto the runways and make it into boarding aircraft? EVERYONE is thriving on Instagram; accounts are carefully curated to look that way. Forming opinions on the state of things based on Instagram posts is like buying a house based on a picture of the front porch.

You probably already know this, but you’ve embraced an ancient cultural phenomenon that’s been present in civilizations around the world. It always gives me comfort and helps me not obsess when I (for example) look at the window with the torn screen on my house.

Re: the green paint. Every car I’ve ever purchased for myself has been green. Always examples that sat on the lot longer than the others and were marked down hellaciously, I assumed because of the color.  

My experience with every contractor I’ve ever hired is that they’re all basically a pyramid scheme; they use your money to finish previous projects for other people and you just hope to whatever god you pray to that you’re not the last person to pay them before they go bankrupt and start a brand new contracting…
