I felt the same way. At first I was deeply saddened. Then I was kind of angry; there is suicide in my close family. At least my brother didn’t have children. But he ruined my parents lives. They never ever got over it. And in some ways his death damaged my life and the lives of my children. I can’t help but feel for

My husband loved Gone Girl and Sharp Objects. How can you not?

Or teenage girls. I thought I was SO intellectual because I read Ayn Rand as a sophomore in high school. Poser!

Freedom was the WORST! It’s like he doesn’t know how human beings work (especially women).

In addition to points made below, he is a huge Trump supporter. I know he’s no longer involved in the company. But I can hold a grudge against huge assholes for a very long time.

You mean Eggers?

I think if men are mature (in every sense) readers, they are quite willing to read female authors. Three of my husband’s favorite authors are Zadie Smith and Jennifer Eagan and Atwood. I must admit his taste - in books at least - are quite a bit more highbrow than mine! I’ll read just about anything, from prize

Oh man, that’s a lot of calories. I don’t even count calories and yet that would give me pause. On the RARE occasion I go to Jimmy Johns (I have moral/political qualms) I order a veggie slim with half the cheese and add mustard. They always go overboard on the cheese and I want a veggie sandwich, not a cheese sandwich

Jesus, how hard is it to put your dick away at work? I get workplace romances happen, but if you’re an asshole -  things won’t go well and you deserve what you get. Seems like he got caught showing his true self and is now trying to reclaim his moral virginity. Sorry dude. It doesn’t work like that.

What kind of seaweed is it? Nori sheets can be crumbled on top of salads (sesame cucumber salad, for instance) or on ramen or noodle bowls or poke or rice dishes. Lazy night meal is tomato egg rice with furikake and extra nori.

I get shredded, dried wakame at the Asian market. Kombu and nori too. I know you can order it from Amazon if you don’t live near an Asian market. Our markets are small, but at least we have a few! Most sushi places - including grocery stores - have the cold seaweed salad. It’s the same everywhere.

My husband will eat meat if he’s out sometimes. I don’t cook meat in our home. If he’s eating meat that day - he certainly wouldn’t eat meat for all three meals! I actually don’t know of anyone who eats that much meat on the regular. To me, it seems weird. But Mountain Dew is weird to me, so what do I know.

Not a fan of oats, but we eat other grains and beans A LOT! Indian dishes, Mexican dishes, Mediterranean dishes. We love seaweed salads, and I wish we had access to more varieties than just the standard dry shelf seaweed - wakame, kombu and nori - and the packaged grocery store stuff (which is hella expensive and I

I spent my childhood summers working the fields so it’s only fitting that I WON’T grow anything. My daughter never endured that so she enjoys the glamour of small raised beds and has been quite successful.

Will try! Potato anything is my jam.

Forgot about those! I much prefer the brownie variety of Mary Jane.

It’s a shitty, “vintage” chewy candy that - inexplicably - still exists. Alternately, it’s an ingredient in magic brownies that makes you ponder.

The definitive answer: It’s fine. Not a first, second or third choice if you’re going for a sweet-chewy confection. But far from the worst. Lookin at you Mary Jane (not the good kind).

I have two good ice cream scoops in two different sizes — for cookies! Thinking about getting rid of them because I really don’t bake anymore. (Kids are grown; I work from home so no co-workers to eat up the slack.) We use our salad spinner, but rarely. My husband NEEDS the vacuum sealer for the fish he catches on his

Because I don’t cook a lot of Latin American food, I buy my sofrito from a jar. Tastes great to me! I love to cook (and am lucky enough to have no physical or other barriers) and often use shortcut ingredients and a food processor to chop large batches of any vegetable. I hate that anyone made you feel your cooking or
