I stock up on snacks and pantry items from our local Asian market to give as last-minute gifts. Most of my friends and family are either too intimidated or too busy to shop the Asian markets, so I like curating my time-tested favorite products for them to try. (EVERYONE *I’d guess* loves those 3-in-1 packets of

My parents would make banana and mayonnaise sandwiches on white bread. DISGUSTING!

Yep. Same here. Because meat was always waaaay overcooked (eggs too), I never developed a taste for meat and as an adult became a pescatarian.

You described my childhood. That explains my adult food choices.

We change it up every year, but we MUST have cornbread dressing (Southern dressing - not stuffing) and green bean casserole - no soup involved. Appetizers are raw oysters, West Indes crab salad, pickled shrimp or deviled eggs. We’ve never had mashed potatoes at Thanksgiving. Past side dishes have included squash

I haven’t eaten there in years, but I remember the food being (as you say) - fine. You know what you’re going to get. No surprises. So a good choice for those who like predictability when they spend money at a restaurant. Our family never eats pasta at a restaurant.

The Melting Pot? I thought only teenagers going to prom ate there.

Me too.

Really? I don’t find it difficult at all. The absolute key is very very finely grated cheese. It’s on our regular rotation.

I am a pescatarian and we eat mostly vegetarian in our home. My husband enjoys meat occasionally when we eat at a restaurant - although he still makes vegetarian choices sometimes even at a restaurant. He’s also very aware of how much meat he consumes and how it impacts his health and is concerned with the nutritional

We just visited our son in Maine and the local bagel place (which uses the pizza oven of another business in the early morning) made horseradish dill cream cheese. OMFG! I will forever be disappointed with other cream cheese offerings.

Am I the only one who doesn’t prefer silky smooth hummus? I much prefer a smoothish hummus.

My husband and I watched the Pee-Wee’s Playhouse with our toddler son back in the late 80's. It’s the only show we could both sit through and enjoy with him.  I remember Laurence Fishburn as Cowboy Curis and Phil Hartman as Captain Carl and Miss Yvonne too. Clocky, Chairy and the Genie. Lots of fun memories we share

Oooooo....and I bet she’s on birth control too!

They. Don’t. Care.

My favorite drink!

I just want to see Jamie Lee Curtis win SOMETHING for the “Fishes” episode of The Bear. Holy shit was she laying it all out there. I made my husband watch that episode (he had not watched any of the series before) and he sat there stunned after it was over.

I bought a countertop nugget ice maker. I’m NOT a splurger, but I adore nugget ice and I need to drink more and more water now that I’m on an exercise regimine. My dentist actually recommended one because he’s an ice eater too! We’ll see how it goes...

I don’t have a huge appetite for breakfast - but I have to eat breakfast due to taking iron supplements. Anything sweet is a no go.  Lately, some mornings I put cottage cheese in a bowl, top with halved cherry tomatoes, Kosher salt, fresh black pepper and a teeny drizzle of good olive oil. It’s actually really good.

The Christmas flashback episode was EPIC! Jamie Lee Curtis should win an Emmy. But the whole season is awesome.
