Yet another thing that makes me want to install battle.net, just so I can uninstall it again.

yep, sounds about right. for 20 years the internet was a cesspool of racism and misogyny and now that everyone is online the hosts now have a financial reason to keep this shit off their servers. As soimeone who grew up with that shit being “cool and edgy” good fucking riddance to that shit.

hi! former kotaku and (until a few hours ago) current launcher reporter here, and I just wanted to say this is pretty much exactly correct. leadership never gave us the resources we needed, and promotion of even our biggest/best stories was sporadic at best. loved having the time and space to report out good stuff,

Way too many nerds (i.e. more than 10, we’ll go with that) have become way too comfortable with being the cringiest, greasiest, most odious pillow-fuckers imaginable.

Honestly I’m fairly certain this practice is done in Australia and many other countries. The big corporations all follow similar play books and they all hire the same consulting firms to advise on HR practice like this shit. This isn’t an “American” problem and just good old fashion late stage capitalism

Yeah, that’s really stupid. What if a student is just more comfortable sitting their quietly and learning?

Hilariously for being on the block to be bought by Microsoft, this is a policy Microsoft used to have in the Ballmer era and have since dropped, because it was a such a bad idea.

Every med school I interviewed at prior to matriculating at the school that I did made sure to have some current student say on the tour “nobody is a gunner here, but I’ve heard that people at [insert rival school] will rip out important pages from textbooks in the library.” Likewise, the prospective students

I mean, part of the problem is that we keep ignoring shit like this. Like, is a 19-year-old breaking a controller after losing in a fighting game really important? No, but just as you posted all of those men acting like babies and said “who the heck cares”, we need to stop acting like it’s ok. Competitive, hyped up on

The same way all those images ended up as stories, too?  Duh.

Probably because the demo just wasn’t very good, which doesn’t speak well for the game itself.

I mean, yes, Wizards is a business, but trying to burn all the goodwill of the massive audience that has been developed - largely by fan creations and fan events - is a pretty stupid business decision! It would’ve been one thing if they opened up new channels that were a more direct business deal with creators but

Dragon magazine was *originally* published by TSR. Paizo started publishing it in 2002.

I personally think some additions to the existing OGL are warranted. stuff banning NFT’s and addressing new tech and trends should be added. the monstrosity that got leaked definitely wasn’t needed though.

I wonder if he has banned Smithfield Foods from being used in VA Gov’t yet? It is owned by the Chinese and the company gave $30K to his inagural committee.

They know that their constituents will blame the Dems anyway.

So... should Americans be banned from buying property outside the US? Be vacation homes or permanent homes?

I don’t care for the unilateral price increase to $70 that the industry seems to be foisting upon us* but if it’s to happen, at least give it to the workers.

*While in some cases also charging for battle passes and cosmetics and boosters that cut down on the grind (level skips) and making hand over fist while doing it

Tractors.

It’s always funny when tiny little pip-squeak states like Wyoming and the Dakotas think that their opinions on these things matter in comparison to states like California and New York, which are actual global economic powerhouses.
