There is an overwhelming number of entitled, childish assholes in the gamer community. I wouldn’t work for them ever.

Gamer entitlement is a real issue but when we bring it up we are called anti consumers little guy blaming gatekeepers

My buddy was completely baffled, almost feeling insulted, when I once mentioned that I bought this real nice calculator-app for Android (HiPER Calc Pro, btw). He’s of the opinion that everything should just be free, especially on Android.

Yeah, I’m calling a bit of BS on that claim of this being a Boomer/Gen-X problem. The people making death threats online to developers over stupid video game things aren’t 70, they’re more likely 15-30.

I mean Discord is just a platform for communities so it all depends on the community and the level of moderation. (To be clear this is not blaming the dev for what happened with their Discord. Deciding to nuke it was very valid since expecting full time moderation on top of being a hobby dev is way too much of them)

Honestly, developing games or software with “gamers” as the end-audience is one of the worst professional experiences of my life because it’s the only industry where people think their $10-69 spend entitles them to make ridiculous demands or access developers in ways that wouldn’t be appropriate in literally any other

If the slavering, unwashed, impatient, emotionally stunted little shit class of fandom (any) could just spontaneously off itself, that’d be just aces.

Users of free apps are some of the most demanding buttholes out there. That’s why, even for hobby projects, it makes sense to charge something for it. It filters out most of those buttholes.

I’m not talking about the generally-young-seeming facial structure of adults. (like those idiots who say that all the characters are underage) I’m talking about the ‘little girl’/loli characters who have pre-teen/child facial & skull structure. Distinctly different than all the other faces in these games. (and I’ve

Or you don’t, so you have the clickbait AND a veneer of moral high ground.

I just hate these kinds of responses. Just say the truth “we gotta cover these up so we don’t get age restricted or cancelled”. Don’t try to sell it as if it’s because the players want less revealing outfits, if you’re a fan of asian MMOs with an anime inspired character design you know what you’re getting into

Just to add some clarity the new class, Painter, are Lolis. They appear to be children, naturally they’re hundreds of years old in “the lore” (what lore? this is Lost Ark). This is why they have outfit restrictions.

He’s taking it seriously, after getting fired for not taking it seriously while he was suspended for not taking it seriously.

I imagine we’re going to be treated to the same revolving door drama with Twitter that we got with the Trump presidency. Some person of note joins the team, thinks they are such hot shit that they can handle the whims of their crazy boss while getting a slice of their own, ignores all the signposts and warnings about

He explained to some Twitter users that the reason he quit was because he “expected the environment of a startup and found something very different.”

So in my day job, I’m a consultant. I help big companies, companies much bigger than Twitter, solve problems. More often than not, I’m called in when these companies have seemingly tried everything and nothing is working.

With an upcoming playable child class genderlocked to femme with sexualized outfits and animations, it’s just bad news. the game is bad news.

I pretend they don’t exist because they’re not very good.

I bounced off of FFTA, and I don’t think it was just because of the kiddy aesthetic. It’s also just mechanically different in a lot of ways that some folks don’t enjoy. Also after going back to it a few weeks ago, I’m not a fan of the interface.
