Your meaning was clear, your reasoning is not. Let’s assume for the hell of it that it is in fact true that “most do” get the equivalent of federal minimum wage through tips; there are a lot of people who won’t be in that “most”.  So why is “the expectation” a wrong reason to tip in such states?

I think you’re missing the difference between “game developers” and “coders”.

Okay? There are game developers who are bad at their jobs and always have been, so your point is?

This is like saying they’re game developers, not novel writers, so who cares if the plot makes no sense and the dialogue is wooden.
