Can be seen from space, but only because there’s a mall parking lot on fire...

I have zero interest in the C8, or the C7 for that matter. If I’m in the market for a Vette, it’s going to be a late model C6 Grand Sport. Because round taillights.

Build that wall! Build that wall!

Not sure what the point of this video was, but if we’re being honest here the real crime is the background music.

Funny, not a cop in sight on that street they “cordoned off” for their friend.

He (Boch Jr) later told Boston Magazine that he “had been a fan” of Trump’s “since the ’80s.” He explained: “If you were a business guy, Trump had character....He was a showman, a promoter.” He has also said that he supported Donald Trump’s presidential candidacy because Trump knows how to run a business, spends money

Black, white, silver and 50 shades of grey. So dull it makes my head hurt. I want to see more like Chrysler/Jeep who has the best colors imho.

Jesus can be trusted. Trump cannot.

Kia had a similar recall for their 2.4 for the same problem. How do you miss cleaning out machining debris on an engine production line?

Like the old rotary aircraft engines from WW1? Awesome!

Spanish term for guy.

Many moons ago when I was young and bulletproof, I took my V65 Magna up to 140mph on the highway. While that was unnervingly fast to young me at the time it’s a full 40+ mph slower than this lunatic driving on essentially back roads. Gotta wonder how long the adrenalin rush lasts after the race.

Is this the engine from the Arteon?

I can’t post the photo (because kinja) but I found a diagram on a CFM56 engine showing a 9ft radius danger zone in front of the engine at idle thrust and above idle it’s a 14ft radius.

You are correct about the engine type. However, engines are at idle while taxiing, only when starting from a stop will they goose the power just to get moving (breakaway thrust) then pull it right back to idle. I believe this is what happened; the ramper was in the wrong place when they spooled up the engines to taxi.

I have some cool photos of a 777 parked on the ramp by us at Newburgh last fall, but for some fking reason kinja won’t let me post them, or even post a link. (wth?) The GE90 engines on that beast have a 128" fan diameter: they’re absolutely massive.

I’m guess it was a specific aftermarket exhausts that made it sound good?

The engines on an Embraer 190 are GE CF34-10s with a 52" fan diameter. They’re not big but clearly these were able to inhale a person; probably when the pilot throttled up to taxi out of the parking spot.

Ramp crew jobs suck, but jet engines suck harder.

Pay has little to do with ramp safety, which airlines pound into ramp workers’ heads. It’s more just being aware of the dangers around you when working near aircraft with running engines.
