Give it a few years on the market, for the initial shock of “Chinese automaker” to wear off, and this little BYD would do numbers in no time.
Brace yourselves for the copycat fuckwits.
I hope VW finds a home for the Arty’s 300hp mill. It’d be a nice bump up for the Jetta GLI or even the Atlas.
once his driving privileges are restored
Wow - they’re testing the Cybertruck on Mars? That crafty bastard Musk...
I always found it annoying on press fleet cars and rentals, so I turn it off.
I recall my uncle restored a ‘73 911T in the late 80s that had been hit hard by the tinworm. But I suppose even the best rustproofing doesn’t hold up to salted roads forever.
That’s essentially what I did with my MC in high school. Valve job, cam, headers/duals, 4bbl carb. Not sure how much I gained from the factory 145hp though; it was still a low compression motor with smog heads. Maybe 175hp total? It definitely did pull harder afterwards.
As the former owner of a ‘69 roadster, yep, the early C3s were beautiful. Right up to 1973.
Good rust proofing? In the 1970s?
Ugh. Picking a car from the Malaise Era is like choosing to die from syphilis or dysentery. That said I’d go with my first car, a ‘75 Monte Carlo that Mom got new and was driven by my brother and sister before I got it as a rusty, two-toned (Dad was a rattle can Picasso) rotted quarter panel beast. But I still loved…
So you’re saying he’s compensating then??
He wouldn’t look so scary on foot.
Well... if it isn’t the consequences of my own actions.
Trump Jr’s head is up his ass, and Musk likes the smell of his own farts.
Okay, so it’s now a daytime driver. Or the next Bond villain vehicle - they just made room for the retractable machine guns.
I blame 1990s GM.
Gray no more, chum. Great photo!
