Aha. I was thrown off by the split-scimitar winglets which I thought only the Max had.

Could we not find a photo of a 757 for the lede? That’s a 737 Max.

Ugh. Now YT is saying the video isn’t available anymore, after I just uploaded it. Whatever.

Years ago when I was doing car reviews for Oppo, I had an LC500 with the same gauge cluster as the F Sport. I made this video of it sliding left & right; coolest thing I’d ever seen. (having trouble posting the link; here’s the address if you’re into cut & paste)

Yes, I’m a boater so I get it. You don’t normally associate all that with a boat that uses wind power though.

Rickety old boats leaking toxic fluids in Florida waterways...

They may be regional jet mfrs, but there are a LOT of CRJs and E-jets in the regional fleet.

A seagull would be roasted and farted out the back. Even a few gulls. However, a Sullenberger-magnitude bird ingestion is another story.

Bombardier and Embraer would like a word...

How the f did he not see that aircraft? Far as the $330k damage estimate, that seems steep if it was just limited to the engine cowling?

I always liked the 928, esp the later GT/GTS variants. Aside from the usual cautions about buying a near 40-year-old Porsche, I don’t see any glaring red flags assuming proper documentation for all work. The “Bald eagles getting shot out of a cannon” comment led me to believe it was an LS-swapped car though. One thing

Considering Ford’s own TT 3.5 makes 450hp/510 trq in the F150 Raptor, I could see this as a 5.0 alternative. Hell, their GT made 660hp with essentially the same motor, so to me the V8 isn’t that critical. It’s all about marketing I guess.

From what I understand, IMO 2020 covers all ships, not just newer ones. Hard to tell how many have been fitted with scrubbers and how many are burning diesel.

Considering the issues the 737 has been having recently, he should be thankful he didn’t get sucked out inflight by a departing door.

That’s what’s always amazed me about these ships. I know the heavy machinery is low in the hull for CG reasons, but when you look at how much of the ship is freeboard they look like a rogue wave could roll one over like the Poseidon.

Not anymore. IMO 2020 reduced the sulphur content in ship’s fuel (3.5% to .5%). If an operator still wants to burn bunker oil they have to install scrubbers on the exhaust stacks. The industry has generally shifted to diesel fuel though

Um, USAir 1549 did.

The last cruise we went on (Disney) had folks handing out disinfectant wipes before entering the dining rooms. I think that’s probably industry standard now after Covid but back then (2014) I was impressed by their attention to detail. Norovirus can go through a cruise ship quickly as we’ve seen years ago and this is

That render still looks like it was designed via the 2x4 and band saw method. Kinda like the Cadillac XLR. Needs more organic curves and less angles and ridges imho.

Yeeesh. Not for me but I like the idea of the C8 chassis as a blank canvas for designers.
