Can’t wait to see the VW-branded version.
Can’t wait to see the VW-branded version.
There’s also a reminder on the fuel gauge.
Which is why there’s a Diesel Fuel Only message on the fuel gauge and on the filler door.
Pump, lines, injectors, filters, tank. Once the HP pumps started making metal that shit contaminates the whole fuel system.
I didn’t see it either. Those HPFPs were probably scorched after running on gas that long making metal, but you’d think the 300 miles the service manager allegedly drove the car for would’ve turned up any fuel system problems. Everything from the tank to the pumps to injectors would’ve had to be flushed to get any…
Having owned a few TDIs previously I’m amazed how long that D-max kept going with the wrong fuel. I’ve had lots of media fleet cars over the years, both gas and diesel but can’t even imagine doing something like this and asking for another loan; I’d be too embarrassed to make the request. Isn’t this why there’s a…
I remember hearing about this when it first happened. Back then I thought Pepsi should just give the kid a decommissioned/demil-ed AV-8B from the USMC minus an engine - the kind of thing you see at military bases mounted on a pedestal.
The reinforced bow has found a use the designer could never have imagined..
True, but those cars appealed to different groups. If there’s a new Charger & Challenger that won’t be built on the LX chassis, Dodge has a chance to shed weight which can only help.
A Hurricane Charger/Challenger would be awesome, but it’s got to shed a few hundred pounds.
You got in just before they discontinue the EcoDiesel in January, huh?
Here in CT, 93 is $1 more than 87. I’m not sure when or why this started, as the delta used to be about .30-.35
I’ve owned three TDIs, and while they were great cars, I’m glad to not have one right now. Ironic that I traded in a 2012 Passat TDI for a used Town Car when my work commute dropped to 3 miles and the benefit of the diesel was lost to me.
Jesus H Christ... There’s a Darwin Award nominee right there.
So the owner put in a lowering kit but did nothing else? No window tint, or ridiculously large wheels or equally hideous body kit? Shocking.
I see I’m not the only one thinking of a transplant for this slug. But the likelihood of finding a decent W110/115 in your price range that’s not rusted junque seems slim.
So, don’t fly on humid days?
I believe I’ve seen your work on Etsy. Damn impressive, I must say.
Exactly. Loud pipes just piss people off. Piss off enough of them and they complain, and the result is anti-motorcycle legislation restricting where & when you can ride. An unintended consequence.
Insurance companies live & die by statistics. If loud pipes really did save lives insurance companies would offer discounts for having them.
