Well *that’s* a very un-jalop attitude..

How is this possible?? $26,800 for high retail? It must be the buyers who are high, right?

What petroleum independence? The US still imports a lot of oil from other countries.

While I can appreciate the higher trim cars with the gonzo V8s, I’d be more than happy with an R/T 5.7 and 6 speed stick in a cool color like GoMango. Kinda pissed that B5 Blue went away though.

F-bodies started off the 80s with lame V8s, but when the TBI 305s and later Tuned Port 350s were out they became fun to drive. I had an ‘84 15th anniversary Trans Am with the fire-breathing 190hp 305. The car was only four years old when I bought it, and it was rapidly approaching shitbox status. (1980s GM quality!)  O

I’ve read of a few wing cars that were rescued and restored from rolling rustboxes. I doubt few would imagine what those cars would be worth years later.

So this was a Superbird or Daytona you’re describing? How long ago did this happen?

I recall driving one of these new when I worked at a C-P dealer in 88-89. I seriously doubt those vans were $27k new.

I worked at a Chrysler-Plymouth (Remember them?) dealer from 1988-89 and recall driving one of these turbo’d 3-pedal versions new. The stick/turbo combination made it fun - well, more fun than the typical n/a 2.5 with autobox. This knucklehead’s “NADA retail” figure is complete bullshit. High retail acc to the NADA

Huh. Kinda sounds like a Harley gtg where the bikes are all lowered & chromed out with the huge front wheel and have similar custom paint. i.e. wizards, evil jesters etc.

Very cool, but nobody yet has impressed me more than Basement Lamborghini Guy.

Keep your eyes open for any new names running in the PA midterms later this year.

That might be the best gif ever.

Flight instructor here. As has been mentioned, parachutes don’t fit well in small general aviation airplanes; many only have one door so getting out in an emergency would be problematic. In the event of an engine failure you’re much better off staying in the airplane and making a controlled emergency landing, letting

Yup. There’s a whole generation now that lives for views. And some will die for them too. Darwin at work.

In my mind I see that car stopping in midair and hearing some pithy comment from the Balladeer.

This jackass should be embarrassed to think anybody bought his bullshit story. Who films themselves in free fall with a selfie stick in a real emergency? I see this ending with a license revocation once the FAA is done with this clown. It’s stupid stunts like this that make all of us general aviation pilots look bad

That’s what the interwebs are for.

Wouldn’t surprise me if lithium was classified as a strategic metal for just that reason.

You bought used shock absorbers. How much could you have possibly saved over new??
