Steelies and what looks like glossy gray primer make this cheap truck look cheap. But I can see owning one of these for a future vehicle, just in a higher spec trim.

Because nobody wants their car to smell like sugar cookies?
As a kid who grew up watching Magnum P.I. I always loved the 308. Until I drove one. I don’t know how Selleck did it at 6' 4" but I’m 6 and found the driving position very uncomfortable.
I’m sure somebody would buy it for a coffee table.
I don’t keep up on this but thought all new snowmobiles were 4-stroke by now? I like the idea of an electric sled, but wouldn’t the cold temps restrict the battery output and therefore range?
You may be right about the defective cell replacement; it sounded too good to be true when I read it a long time ago. As far as charging a battery to 100% and letting it run down to zero, that does sound right but I’ve read that a battery should be run down to zero occasionally to prevent battery memory. I’m not sure…
I’ve been told Prius batteries can have individual cells replaced when they go bad vs replacing the entire battery pack. Hybrids ultimately are just an intermediate step to adoption of EVs and I’m curious to see what comes next for EV batteries after lithium-ion. I’ve read sodium-ion batteries or metal-air battery…
My 1998 Jetta TDI went 220k miles with just normal repairs & maint. The original clutch was tight when I sold it too. There were few options on the car to break - A/C always blew cold and the sunroof was manual. The thing was a trooper.
I had this conversation recently with myself and decided I would be most happy with the entry-level 911 Carrera. I figure with 21 different 911 models for sale any model offering more power than the base 379hp would just be more power than I need. Sure the 640hp of the 911 Turbo S sounds like fun, as do any of the…
Wait, isn’t this where he’s supposed to say Fight Me?
I don’t know what the battery replacement cycle is for hybrid vans, but the idea of a more complex hybrid powertrain probably won’t do much for overall reliability. Esp if you plan on keeping it past the mfr warranty expiration.
And drunk frat boy types partying til 2am in the next room.
Can I get a sad trombone?
It’s even got some interesting data on pecentages:
First car was a ‘75 Monte Carlo which my mother bought new and went through my sister and brother’s use before I got it in 1985. By then it had the usual rot holes in the fenders and over the back wheels. I learned a lot by wrenching on that car, having pulled the top end apart for a valve job and other smaller fixes…
Pilots don’t wear a chute unless flying an aerobat or jump plane. Wearing a bulky chute would complicate getting out the door in an emergency in most general aviation aircraft, and unless the plane is burning furiously you’re better off flying it down to the ground. Hell, even then you’re still better off staying with…
Rare does not always mean desirable. (Iron Duke 3rd gen Camaros, for example) And in this case his asking price is more than double the KBB guidance. Dude’s getting high on his own supply.
