I like the idea of an electric boat too. I used to lug jerry cans to fill my boat in the slip because I wasn’t paying $1 extra per gallon at the gas dock. I don’t know how long the battery would last when pulling kids on tubes, but for just cruising on LI Sound I’d think it’d be perfect.

$500 for nitrogen-filled tires is hysterical. VW charges $120 for it, and even that seems ridiculous to me. 

It is a Nemesis NXT. They bought one of the ten kits made and converted it to electric power. 

Nemesis NXT flight controls are pushrod activated so no worries there.

Not wanting to raise the engine for clearance makes sense as it’s one of the advantages of the pancake motor. But you’d think the factory could fit the turbo somewhere else so the motor wouldn’t have to be moved. Maybe a blower would be a better solution.

“Doesn’t need one” is subjective of course, and any factory turbo’d engine would have lower CR obviously. 

If the Soob starts at $28k and the Supra 2.0 starts at $43k do you think a factory blower would add $15k to the price? If so, the aftermarket offers several between $4-5k.

I’ll have to see about a GR86 loaner from Toyota to review. It seems the new car is a bigger improvement over the 1st gen than I thought. Will have to drive one & see.
