The stats (if anyone even keeps them) are probably pretty low, but that’s not saying it doesn’t happen. We don’t need a national standard when most states already have vehicle safety inspections to keep unsafe cars off the road. It’s unbelievable to me that any state would NOT have a safety inspection.

Same here. I bought a ‘69 Stingray roadster when I was 28, and the folks in the club I joined were all in their 40s, 50s and 60s. Like any other group, some will be cool and some will be clowns.
