I’m assuming you understood this, but in case there’s someone out there confused by the inclusion of that line, it’s an additional reference to Netflix’s “Are you still watching?” message.

Maybe I’m misremembering, but I could have sworn there’s a “Binge worthy” category on Netflix that pops up somewhere between “Cerebral LGBT Psychological Thrillers” and “Critically Acclaimed Foreign Heist Movies”
There absolutely had to have been a camera in that elevator, right?
Also, in a very recent episode (recent being relative since I’m a year behind the times), there was a moment when Kara stepped out onto the Catco balcony, pulled her shirt open and flew away while you can see literally dozens of Catco employees walking…
In my mind, the showrunners are trying to balance the cosmic scales that were tipped when Joss and the crew insisted upon having David Boreanaz do that terrible Irish accent.
Nah, it’s just a bit of fun that acknowledges how annoying rabid fans can be. I would consider myself a full-fledged member of at least 5 of the listed fan bases (I like a lot more of the choices but I’m only counting communities I regularly participate in) and I have come into contact with some…
Yeah, Mario and Judd Apatow seemed like weird inclusions to me. They’re both incredibly popular but I don’t feel like either have a particularly cohesive community around them. And they seem especially strange when you consider that My Little Pony (Bronies) and Star Wars weren’t even on there.
So far I think the most egregious elimination was Drake beating out Chapo Trap House. Maybe it’s just that I’m more exposed to Chapo Trap House fans than legit Drake fans but boy can they be obnoxious.
Also, Rick and Morty has to win, right? That is the quintessential annoying fan base. If nothing else, the Szechuan…
Beyonce is on there (left side in green between The Bachelorette and This American Life). As for the others, I don’t know if I would call blog readers “fandoms” really.
There were a few inclusions that struck me as odd but both of those feel very fitting to me.
She only appeared in something like 3 scenes in Murder House as Jessica Lange’s psychic friend. It was only in Season 2 that she became one of the main stars.
I gotta agree with them. The only one that I think might be worse is Freak Show but I disliked that one because I just couldn’t bring myself to care very much whereas I thought Coven was actively bad. Hotel was also fairly underwhelming but Dennis O’Hare and Evan Peters were really big bright spots for me and I…
Not 100% context appropriate, but I think it’s close enough.
I know I’m way late to this but I’m just watching now. The ending scene with Lena and Teri Hatcher was so funny. Lena calls Kara to check on her and invite her to brunch and Kara’s like, “by the way what sort of advice did you need earlier?” And Lena goes, “oh, nothing, I figured it out,” and it reveals that Teri is…
I just want to take a moment to ask about the defunct La Boulange and whether or not anybody else in this big ol’ world ever internally heard the voice of the matchmaker calling Mulan’s name when they read the business name? It was one of my greatest internal joys in life when I lived around the corner from a La…
On a tangential note, I drive by the Ask.com building in Oakland 5 days a week and I always feel a twinge of sadness for our fallen comrade, Jeeves.
Farewell, Jeeves. We hardly knew ye.
They did a music article earlier in the week. I believe Mezzanine got some discussion in the comments and Aquemini gets a brief mention in the article though it’s pretty cursory like it is in this article. No mention of Ray of Light unfortunately.
There’s also this one specifically focusing on rap-rock and nu-metal
I am in the middle of watching Supergirl at the moment (I’m in the second half of Season 2) and one recurring thought I keep having while watching is that it is really just Buffy but all around not as good. For some reason very few specific examples are coming to me off the top of my head (the only one I can…
Buffy the Vampire Slayer had a real hot 1998 with Surprise, Innocence, Passion, I Only Have Eyes for You and Becoming (Pts. 1 & 2) and then later with Homecoming and Band Candy and the general introduction of Faith.
Literally none of that rings a bell.
