I was going to say the Stone Arch Bridge too. So many prom pictures.

I know it’s lame to make this comment, but:

“What Slash is to guitar, sky ferreira is to looking hot”

Male mediocrity being awarded is so common that it’s not even newsworthy anymore.

....she was probably so scared...and none of the adults helped her...

Can someone draw me a fucking diagram?? I can’t even follow what they’re trying to say happened.

"When a child is hurt and on the ground, the immediate knee jerk reaction of any adult present is usually to go to them." If only that were true.

it definitely was a bullying incident...ugh it breaks my heart. They had to WORK to injure her that much....she was probably so scared...and none of the adults helped her...

They certainly would have. If she were white.

A gug in every pot, shoggoth in every garage.

A rope being released from tension doing this? On her neck? I don’t fucking think so.

I guess it’s less “amazed” and more “think they can talk this one away”. At the very least, I would have expected someone to take down the swing.

That is what doesn’t make sense to me. To get a rope burn, the rope has to have some tautness to it. If the children let go of the rope it would have been slack and thus not able to make a burn like this. I’m calling bullshit on that lawyer’s story. That wound is not a vaseline and Motrin wound.

Yeah the schools always do this with a lawsuit but wtf were they thinking 1) It was an accident at the time 2) Vaseline and call it a day? What?

no one helped her to her feet.

“I am amazed at the amount of wiggling everyone is doing to deflect blame” I’m not.

The girl on the right is dead.

Maybe the girl on the right. Or both of them.

I've spent more than five hours searching these images last year, and seen more than 500 examples of post-mortem photography. I couldn't sleep for the next 36 hours.

Super. I didn't want to sleep this week anyway.
