Not to be alarmist, but has your dad followed up on this with a health care provider? My partner (male, age 50) almost fainted in the sauna in January, and subsequent blood testing revealed he had a rare type of lymphoma. One wants to find out about that stuff sooner rather than later.
Whoa, thought you were me for a minute! Those first five you mentioned are among my favorites. Have you ever listened to "Strangers"? It's by a former producer of "The Moth," but the format is more "This American Life"-ish. I love it and wish it came out more frequently than once a month.
